Position: Young Talent Development Professionals

Job purpose
Rikolto in Tanzania is seeking Young Talent Professionals to support two key projects: Vijana Kilimo Biashara (VKB) and the Joint Programme on Accelerating Progress Towards Rural Women’s Economic Empowerment (JP RWEE). These projects focus on enhancing food productivity, reducing post-harvest losses, and increasing economic empowerment for youth and women in the regions of Singida and Dodoma. The professionals will work closely with farmers, local partners, and stakeholders, providing technical assistance, coordinating field activities, and facilitating market linkages. Their responsibilities also include contributing to capacity-building initiatives, organizing farmer field days, and supporting data collection for project monitoring and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver practical training to sunflower and sorghum farmers on Good Agronomic Practices (GAP), post-harvest handling, quality standards and market access opportunities.
• Mobilise and promote active youth participation in agribusiness initiatives, ensuring gender inclusion across all interventions.
• Strengthen relationships with local government authorities, private sector actors and development partners to enhance ownership and sustainability.
• Document lessons learned, success stories and business cases to demonstrate impact.
• Prepare reports, minutes and activity summaries for coordination meetings and stakeholder engagements.
• Support monitoring and documentation of progress, innovations and business model improvements at partner level.
• Work with Business Development Service (BDS) providers to strengthen business relationships between farmers, buyers and service providers.
• Supervise and monitor data collection by local coaches and community facilitators at cluster level.
• Maintain accurate records, including training attendance and monitoring data.
• Support follow-up coaching and quality assurance of trainings delivered by cooperative BDS providers.
• Represent Rikolto in relevant meetings, forums and field events as assigned.
• Collaborate with the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) specialist to collect, compile and analyse programme data for learning and reporting.

Education and Experience
• A graduate from 2022 onward.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in: Agri-business Management, Agriculture Extension, Co-operative Management & Accounting, Agriculture Economics, Business Economics, or any related programme with competencies in community mobilisation, extension, stakeholder engagement, administration, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship or business development.
• Resident in and knowledgeable about the programme areas. Successful candidates must be able to arrange their own accommodation.
• Highly committed, disciplined and able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
